First let me start off by saying I am not an obese person, but I am overly concerned about my weight and eating habits. I do not eat a lot, but my weight is still going up at times. I know i should eat 5-6 small meals a day, but i find that impossible to do with my schedule/work and school. I want to know what can i do to better my eating habit and a way for me to lose 10-15 lbs. i went on one diet where i was taking shots, and pill and all, but as soon as i went off that i gained the weight baack, but i cudnt see myeslf taking shots and pills for rest of my life to lose weight. I have started walking almost 1 hr a day in a quick pace but the weight hasn't come off. Please tell me some good ways a person like me can lose weight and eat more than 2 times a day.
yes i eat sometimes 1 or 2 times a day not bad foods and i still gained weight. WHY?

Eating smaller more frequent meals allows your metabolism to stay consistent. When you eat then go long periods without food, your glucose drops and your body goes into a kind of preservation mode and stores what it has instead of knowing that there is plenty of energy and allowing your body to use it.

You don't have to think of them as meals, but as snacks. Maybe because you are so busy, you could pack a cooler with a mid morning hand full of nuts and a mid afternoon pack of raw veggies or a few crackers. it doesn't have to be a lot, just something to let your body know it doesn't have to store energy.

Also, as Spiritwalker said, many oral meds cause weight gain. Even when you are on insulin it can cause weight gain because suddenly your body is able to use the glucose in your system where before it didn't, so those extra bits of energy are getting stored instead of flushed out of you body.

Are you where you can keep a jar of nuts on your desk or in your car? Just grab a hand full, it doesn't have to be a "meal". Just something to churn around in your stomach for a while is all it needs to be. Maybe keep an apple near by and just make it a goal to have eaten it before you go home that day.
I am suddenly having trouble getting breakfast in. I used to eat it right as I got up, but now I am allowing my meds to be taken properly and that means I have to wait at least 30 minutes before I eat. Now I am finding that I get involved in something and before I know it, it is almost time for lunch. So it is something we all struggle with. If you make an effort for at least 3 weeks, it will start to be a habit. Then it is not so hard.

You didn't say what type of diabetic you are. If you are type 2, and on any oral meds. This could be a reason. Most but not all oral meds have the side affect of weight gain. I find for myself that 5-6 small meals are better for weight lose then 3 regular meals.

Hello
When you starve your self your bod goes into stavation mode
and this can make it very hard to drop any weight at all
when I eat 5 to 6 times a day small meals I drop the weight if I cut it down to 1 or 2 meals a day I gain so thats all I know.
Best wishes
