Just found out I am pre-diabetic. Can vitamins create any problems or help with you get better?

They have a diabetic supplement pack. I recently purchased it and it seems to be helping. I also read somewhere that it is good to eat cinnamon.

Hi Cora, welcome to the community.

Most vitamins are safe, but you do want to see if they are going to react with any meds your doctor might have put you on. I take Lisinopril and I also take OTC niacin. I cannot take them at the same time, and since I take my lisinopril at night, I take my niacin with my morning meds.

Vitamin D tends to be a deficiency in diabetics, but not always. There are things like Chromium and Alpha Lipoic Acid that can help, but you want to find out what doses your doctor would recommend. If your doctor is not up on that kind of thing, I recommend you spend a little time with your pharmacist. They are a wealth of information that is often over looked.

Glad I could help. If you find out anything unusual, please share it with us here. I am always wondering about those kinds of things.
