If you could help educate people that have diabetes would you? Would you join a fund raiser? What would you do? Who would be you audience? How would you do it? Where would you start? When would you start?
Have been thinking about this issue for quite a while now and think that there is hands-on education lacking in this country. Lets ban together and come up with something great and special.

I have been thinking about this a lot over the last few years but have no clue how to go about setting something up. There are so many Doctors, PA, Dieticians, Personal Trainers, Chefs and Big Name People that I think a network of things could be done. One idea I had was put together a place where you could have rotation of chefs that even everyday cooks that could teach a cooking class with a dietician on hand and teach people how to cook a great meal that is well balanced, great tasting and fun to prepare. There are even celebrity chefs that are diabetics. Wouldn't that be something that people could get in to?

Or how about a travelling educational bus that goes from community to community doing the same thing with the help of neighborhood medical personnel.

Just thinking and not knowing how or where to even get started.

I'm sure there are many, many, more things that could come from this idea that could make it awesome. Now to figure out how to do it and pick everyones brain for ideas.

What a fantastic idea. I think one of the things that would make a huge difference would be teaching people how to cook simple healthy meals.

What kinds of things do you have in mind?
