I swear to God, somedays I feel like a lab rat…Give ur lantus in the morning, no lets try it at night…no wait lets split the dosage up and do 2 shots of lantus a day instead of just the one…hell whats one more shot since u gotta take them everytime you wanna eat anything…and all the while being told that yeah for a few days after we switch this around u will probably roller coaster with your sugars but just until we find what works best for you…Now I KNOW that its all a process but i was kinda hoping after 25 years THAT part of the stupid process would be over with…i have an appointment to be checked out for a pump, so pray for me that they decide thats what they wanna do cuz im tired of poking myself 7 times a day and not having it even itself out…was on th epump for awhile 7 years ago and it was great til the pump malfunctioned and they just never put me back on one, but my A1c was like 5.6 then…so keep ur fingers crossed for me everyone!!! Thanks for letting me vent my frustration today!

I'm so sorry, all the sticking and poking and wrangling can get to be VERY frustrating sometimes! And, it is true, the doctors don't have all the answers yet (maybe never!), so we are sort of like guinea pigs, lab rats, what have ye…

The pump sounds like good news though! I'm on one and its a LIFE saver. So much less pricking and plunging, and much better A1Cs!

I have threatened to write a book called "I Am My Own Guinea Pig". I feel like a mad scientist sometimes and I have only been doing it for a couple of years. I hope that you are able to get back on a pump. They just seem like the most sensible thing for so many of us.
