I would like to do a test, I have a healthy coffee, tea and hot chocolate but I don't know how it effects your sugars. It has improved my numbers, if you would like to be a part of this test send me an email with your name, address and how you like your coffee or tea and I will send you a sample and explain how its healthy. thanks

So, because the article doesn't mention the effect of caffeinated coffee on T1's, are we to assume that there is no effect?! I hate when we get left out! :)

Well, I would have to say that if it increases numbers in general you will just have to test it out. I tested myself out and decaf works nicer with my numbers. That is why I quit drinking even the sugar free coffee from shops unless I could get them decaf as well. So, I just make mine at home. (I love ice coffee)
There are exceptions to every rule, and that is never more apparent than in diabetes. I am continually amazed at how individual it is. That is why blanket statements from doctors always bother me so much.
