I don't know if this will be beneficial but I hope so. There is a program called Freestyle promise for all you Freestyle meter users. It is a discount program for assistance with test strips. Whether you have insurance or not. I just recently got ins but have a $2000.00 deduct. I also have like 10 meters at home because I would flip flop between whatever meter had the cheapest strips at the time. Anyways the # to call to receive a membership card is
they will send you a card with a member # and you submit it to the pharmacy with your ins. card if any and your script. I got 100ct strips for $40.00 normally it would have been like $120.00. The card is good for Freestyle, FS Lite and Percision X strips. You can also receive free meters ask your Doc. about it. I test anywhere from 4-6xs a day so I go through some strips. Hope this helps

Stephanie ;)

Hi Birdie,

What I did was that I saw an add in a magazine that gave an 1-800 number that you can call. When you call just do through promps to get the meter, just give them the info and they will send the meter. Here the number you can call
1-866-570-4288 and there web site is and you can make the choice of which one you want to receive from Abbot.

I've checked this program out already and it seems to be really good and the only problem was that right at the point that I joined the program I lost my insurance. But as soon I get more I will be joining again.

Hi, Stephanie! I've taken advantage of the Freestyle Promise program and I got a new supply of strips last Tuesday (8/5/08). Do you know how much the supply cost?? NOTHING!!!! My insurance and the Freestyle Promise paid for the strips. I was as happy as a FLY ON A COW (I LOVE COWS). The month before, when I didn't have the Freestyle Promise program, I paid $50 when it normally would have been more than $100. I began to think about this - $50 a month times 12 is $600. It's $1,200 without insurance to kick in. But with The Freestyle Promise, it would be half or even 1/3 less! This is why I must get a job, though; so I can continue this procedure. I want to spend my $$$ on travel and gifts, not on strips. Oh, I'll test my BG faithfully but, as I said, I'd prefer to do it for minimal cost or for NOTHING! That program is a GODSEND!
