I've heard the same, but I haven't noticed that the small amount of caffeine in tea raises my blood sugar.

Hi Rita,

Funny, there is another discussion just started on decaf...It is recommended that diabetic drink decaffeinated drinks as it can raise your levels. If you can drink it and it doesn't affect your levels then it is up to your discretion. Here are a couple of articles about caffeine and diabetes.

I know that caffeine is bad for everyone including diabetics. And for some diabetics with other conditions they should not have caffeine. But in small amounts with or with out cveamer or sweetner it should be ok.
I have to have a least one cup of coffee in the morning to get the engine going. :) Besides this is my last vice.
