When I was first diagnosed, one of the things I was told was to watch my protions. Not much was really said about carbs. So, I had a cup of this, and a 1/4 cup of that, and one of these and one and 1/2 of those. Ta-dah! Well, almost. I was doing all the porton control in one meal. Then I would take my sugar and get a whopping 300!
I think that instead of calling it portion control, it should be called carb control. It was not until a year after I was diagnosed, that I learned about how many carbs I should be taking in at a meal.So, I now do what I call carb control instead of protion control. does this make sense?
