I have 2 friends that have it. I know they control with eating and not eating certain foods and have been successful.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome. It has a lot of symptoms, some minor and some not so minor, one of them is insulin resistance. A very common treatment for it is metformin and a reduced carb diet similar to a diabetic one. It's still not really understood but I don't believe they have linked it as a cause of diabetes, just a strong correlation between the two, among other things. www.soulcysters.com is a good worldwide support board, similar to this one.

it is polycystic ovarian syndrome it destoys your ovaries by creating to many cysts and my doctor that if you have pcos you usually develop diabetes and if you have diabetes you can develop pcos

pcos is polycystic ovarian syndrome and most people who have it have diabetes and vice-versa. this disease ruined my life and i dont want this to happen to anyone else. so PLEASE if you are a woman of childbearing age get checked for this disease!
