I am new to the site and new to diabetes. I had gestational diabetes while carrying my youngest child almost twenty-three years ago. My doctor is still running tests but has verified the fact that I have it. No one in my family has it but my oldest niece who got if from her father's side of the family. I met my father when I was 8 years old and now don't know how to find him or if he is alive. I am thinking that's where I got it from. I look forward to conversing with others and learning more.

Happy day Queenp159,
I will be standing on the wall for you in the name of Jesus, concerning your diabeties. By you putting God 1st in ewverything that means that you already know that He has control of your life & your days so on that note keep your face in the Master face & you will see the plan He has for you. That it is for your welfare & not for evil to give you a future & a hope. Be blessed, my sister.

Working 4 Jesus, & Loving it,

Welcome aboard! No matter where your diabetes came from, this is a great place to learn how to handle it. The disease itself can be very confusing and despite living with it for over 30 years, I'm still learning. I encourage you to read the posts here and ask all the questions you like. There are no stupid questions. Nobody here knows everything (not even me) but among us, we have hundreds of years dealing with diabetes. Soon, you'll be helping others.
