I have been seeing a lot of questions of late about diabetes "cures" and claims. Now, while I do believe that there are a lot of alternatives out there, I also recommend great caution on many levels. I came across a tab in the Diabetes Monitor and it just "quacked" me up. It is called simply "Quackery" and it is full of articles about many different things claiming to be the magic bullets. You really should go there, and check out a few of the articles. Some are funny, some are scary.

Your Doc wishes you to get better so if a cure comes along they will be the first to know.

There are two things that can counter "Diabetic Quackery."

One is knowledge, the other is research, utilizing the two you can come to a reasonable conclusion, sometimes a little common sense helps too.

If it seems too good to be true, it is, all you have to do is gather your information, notice that if it calls for money and is being sold via the internet or infomercial, discard the thought.
The real cure is you doing what is necessary for your survival, we may not always like doing it but it goes along with the territory of having diabetes, with diabetes comes PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY !

Be responsible, do your research and keep your money in your pocket !

I agree my ac1 test are great but that does not mean i am out of the woods. if i donot watch what i am eating and do not keep exersiesing they will get out of controll. as the saying goes once diabitc allways a diebetic. you allways have to watch. i dont believe that you can cure it. you just have to stick to control . control it dont let it control you. you have to get bitchy with it and dont give up.
