Art is currently in the hospital and the hospital uses Novolog and he uses Humalog at home. 4 days post op his blood sugar spikes to over 400 and has not come down. He had to get IV steroids yesterday and none today…has any one else had a difference in the bl sugar when switching to Novolog? The steroids should be out of his system by now.

You can't make any conclusion yet, steroids and surgery will mess up blood sugar control for several days, maybe even a few weeks. The main difference a lot of people find with novolog is that it lasts a little bit longer than humalog so around 3-4 hours after taking it you may go low when you wouldn't with humalog. Of course, there are people who find certain insulins do not do anything for them, maybe that's the case now.
