We are continuing to work hard to make improvements to Diabetic Connect.

Last night we implemented several important updates. Not the least of which is that you can now edit your replies again. Yea!

Also, the main Discussion view is improved to give you a better view of the activity happening in discussions. You can sort the list by Popular, Newest, Top Rated, and Most Discussed.

Also, we've changed Tracked Items to function more like it did before the recent changes. So we're hoping it will make it easier to keep up with the activity that interests you most.

Please continue to let us know what you're seeing, what you're liking, and what's not working for you.

Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU for bringing back the edit feature. The site is shaping up very well IMHO.

John, would it be possible to get a delete feature back on tracking on personal profiles? I have things appearing I don't follow. I still have things
from the old tracking that I can't find. Its frustrating at best. Just put the
title of Discussion, recipe, news ect. I guess I am asking for it the old way.
I can see who is replaying when I go to the item. I don't need to know that
to track something.

You can delete tracked items but it's not super clear. On the tracked items page there is an icon of a magnifying glass to the right of each item, if you move your mouse pointer over that it turns to a bin which if you click will ask you if you want to stop tracking the item.

I'm getting the edit icon for random posts that aren't mine, for instance in this thread I have it for the post by joni55 but not for the post by shorty31. Clicking it takes me to the login/signup page. EDIT: Now I don't see it for any posts other than my own. Odd.

One thing I would find useful, maybe others would as well, is an additional filter on the page http://www.diabeticconnect.com/discussions "Newest Replies" which would order the discussions by the most recent post rather than the date it was created.

The "Newest" filter currently will show the most recently active discussion (whether created or replied to). We're hoping that makes navigating the new activity in discussions easier.

If it appears that it's not working that way, let me know. But that's the way it's "supposed" to be working.

Sounds good. I put in a discussion and then went back to search for it and could not find it. How do I get back to it without searching through a thousand discussions?

kdroberts 2010-03-26 12:29:51 -0500 Report

If you click "My Profile" in the top right you should see your activity. If "Me & My Friends" is not highlighted then click that.
