Eat nuts. I do. Just watch out you don’t eat too much.

When diagnosed I started to drink 8+ glasses of water and started to eat lots of low carb vegetables and my numbers dropped fast. I learned by testing before and after each meal, what foods spiked my blood sugar and stopped eating foods that spiked me more than 30-40 points.

I wrote how I control my blood sugar here. Click on the link below.

My A1C went from 14.1 to 5.9 in less than four months. I did it. I believe most people can too.

Good luck

I still eat ice cream once in a while…very small portion, usually 1 scoop with either almonds or walnuts to top it off…portion size is the key as well as making sure you combine some protein with your carb intake

Hey whats up? Good question! I was wondering about vegetables. they are suppose to be a sugar or carb free food, but i was eating carrots for lunch today and watch out! my blood sugars went up to 317. are you suppose to starve yourself? im a vegetarian, i cant do the atkins crap.

Carrots are naturally sweet, I steam them or boil them until there is no liquid left and then eat them if I have a taste for something sweet, I consume them raw most of the time, same effect though !
