Welcome to our community Lovly, I hope you find great support here for all your needs.

Since you are listed in Type 2 I am presuming you are a type 2 diabetic who is on insulin at this time. You need insulin to process the foods that you are eating and how your body is using the insulin you give it.

The first way to help possibly reduce your intake of insulin is to watch your diet. If you have not visited a dietitian I would highly recommend that. They can help you tailor a meal plan just for you with your carbs, fats, sodium, and calories in mind to meet your goals.

Next, is exercise. That is one of the most overlooked methods of our diabetic treatment. Exercise allows your body to become more sensitive to insulin and makes your body use it more accordingly.

Of course, you want to talk to your doctor about it as well, as he may have more suggestions that are fitting to your personal needs. Here is a link to part of the nutrition class that I took and shared here. There are 7 classes total, and reviewing them may help: http://www.diabeticconnect.com/discussions/3223-tcoyd-class-4
