How do you manage the cost of supplies? The meds are not too bad but the test strips are killing me. I got a free meter but cannot afford the test strips so what is the use? I do not test as often as my doctor would like but she does not have test strips to give me and I try not to use up the ones that came with the meter. I tried to get some free ones online to no avail. What do you do?

You could write or call the company that makes your meter. Explain your
circumstances and some of them will provide free or low cost supplies.
My other suggestion is contact your diabetes clinic and see if they offer
any special programs for low cost or free supplies. If you have any free
clinics in your area this could prove another source for supplies. Good

Talk to your diabetes educator (at the doctor's?) There are several programs that will get free or very cheap test strips. You may have to change meters. I used to pay $1.64 per strip but am now paying 0.52 per strip. Since I test 4 times a day, the difference is large.
The programs are strictly referal, a medical-type office would have to refer you to the program. Good luck.
