to E-bay or not to E-bay

That is the question…
Is it safe? Do you do it?
I just did my first order of supplies off E-bay today and am really stoked. For $40 I got 200 True read strips, 200 Lancets and one bottle of glucose (I call it my fake blood) It is all good for over a year still, not expiring until 9/2009.
I had heard from several people here that I could get supplies from them, so I finally tried it. I hope that they are good. I am always a little nervous until I establish a relationshiop with the seller. But I am a seller too, so I know they don't get to stick around if the product is bad.

I just wanted to let you know that I got 350 test strips for $28 this week, and they sent me a free pack of alcahol wipes too.

I have ordered from Ebay several times for diabetic supplies and other things too. I have never had a single problem. Check the seller's rating and always, always look for free shipping. Without free shipping, you can do just as well on Overstock Drugs or Amazon. Good luck! Angie

I hav always been hesitant to use Ebay. I ordered used CDs (music) from and got two that would not play. They were duds. That made me think it would be like that on Ebay so I have never used it. Maybe I should give it a try. Thanks for telling us about your satisfaction Gabby. Rhat is great that you can test as often as you want now. That can certainly improve your control.

I have continued to get my supplies from here. It has proven to be the most affordable for me and I have never had a bad bacth show up. So I keep my fingers crossed. They don't always have what I am looking for so don't wait until you arealmost out. Do it while you still have at least one container left, so you don't end up without.

You can buy almost anything on Ebay. From A-Z, even cars and houses. My husband sells on Ebay. DVD and vidoe games and I used to sell cookbooks and books. It is very safe. check the sellers ratings and read their feedback. I would only buy from sellers with close to 100% feedback rating. You need to go on Ebay and set up your account and then look around. they have a whole section for diabetic supplies, which I get alot of. Plus I have bought lots of books and clothes, knick knacks. Last year I got a whole bedroom set with queen comforter, bed skirt, curtains, tiebacks, sheet set and pillow shams for 50 dollars. It was still in the wrappers never used. I thought I had seen it a Penneys for 200 just for the comforter. so you can get some great deals. But check it out and you can also check out for stuff too. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have gotten some of my diabetic supplies from ebay and have gotten great deals. I always look for sellers who have a high feedback rating and only use those sellers. My insurance covers some of my supplies, but not enough test strips for what I feel is necessary. Thus far, I have received great supplies and have been 100% satisfied.

I have been using them and they seem to be just fine. I had been using my mom's extras, but now that I am testing before and after meals, I was using too many, so this is a great way to be able to keep track without going broke.

Congrats to you for being resourceful during these hard economic times. I too have been an Ebay seller and buyer.
Maybe this is a way to offer others my excess supplies at a greatly reduced rate, like 10 cents. Thanks for the info.

I received my supplies today and they are as promised. They are good for over a year still, and I know at the rate I am plowing thru test strips right now, it will last me only a couple of months, if that. If you can find your supplies on Ebay, I say give it a try. I cut the cost by 75% plus I got extras.
