I have been praying and following the
updates on Danni. So many good hearted
and caring people in one place to pray for
Danni. It sure is a nice feeling knowing I
can also count on your support if needed.

Fluffy, thanks for this. Yes, I am amazed at how we came together for Danni, formed a family, what a real family is, with people we have been fortunate enough to meet…and connect with thru our Danni. She just came to the site in Jan, if I remember correctly, and where I connected really well with one or two people, I now have a strong family of 6, and more friends than acquaintances with a bunch more. I feel pretty safe with the site and love and protected my my special family group. DC is better than blood family, don't you think?

It is so great to have all these people on your side. I feel closer to most of this group then I do with some people I've know all my life. My husband even asks me what is going on with my "friends" here. And you all are my friends.
Thank you all!!!!

Isn't it strange that we can care about people we have never met in person, but know better than some of our friends? We pretty much cut to the chase here, because we say what we mean and need to have said. DC is good people!

I have found that people you know in person, face to face, sometimes put on appearances so you really don't know that person as well as you think you do, here we are what we are and we are open about it.

We are gathered here as one body in support of each other, when one part of this body is sick, the rest of the body reaches out through Prayer, Love, and encouragement to that part of the body. We Are One Body in Faith, Hope, and Love. that is what holds us together, that is our bond. May God Bless this body to keep us together for each other

Hi, Patricia. When I read about Danni, I was pist off and really upset. I hadn't realized just how much I care about her - and others here - until that happened. There is an almost instant connection among many of us simply because we struggle along the same path. But then, it seems that the connection grows pretty quickly because we often put ourselves "out there" to each other.

I don't mean to sort of analyze, but I am surprised and grateful for the genuine community that developed here so quickly for me. The kindness and caring is awesome.

The prayers are amazing — good thoughts, white light, everyone doing their own thing together… that doesn't happen lots of places, I'm sure! Sometimes, when we are in our toughest places, we can forget to pray for ourselves. Knowing that others have it covered is so splendid.

Sorry. I guess I took a lot of words just to agree with you!

I certainly don't mind the analysis, Anne - I think it's spot on!

Especially after yesterday morning - the group prayer was an incredible and powerful experience for me. The 'communion' of people sending their prayers to Danni moved me deeply. (And the word 'community' has the same root as 'communion.')

Danni felt it, too - just so you know. I talked with her yesterday after her surgery and she told me how loved and supported she felt going into the operating room - and after. And how wonderful it was for her to know that all these people were praying for her. I think the word she used was 'awesome.'

Which, for people of her generation, is the highest praise possible! :)

I also loved the prayers - each speaking from their tradition and beliefs - and everyone open to all.

Thank you all for a most wonderful experience. And let's keep praying! Danni still has a tough road to travel.

very true…it is nice to know that we can all count on each other for support her at DC…what a great family!

You are right Patricia, it is like families should be. And it IS a nice feeling being a part of a family such as this. Like most families we have our little disagreements but when the chips are down we rally 'round the one who is stricken.
