today i drank the packets of flavor you put in water, hawaiian punch, that says sugar free, and my sugar went sky high. i had like only 2 packets and 64 oz of water. is that possible? i am trying to drink more water, but want flavor. people tell me to put lemon juice in it, but it doesn't make it taste so good. what do you advise? thanks

I was wondering the same thing if you usually drink your sugarfree packs with a meal or after a heavy carb meal that might have something to do with the spike in your bs. Heavy carb and high meals do have a tendancy to spike you bs 2-4hrs after you've eaten. Crystal light packs are great maybe try to put have the pack in your bottle of water instead of the whole pack. I'm a huge coffee drinker and I notice my bs would go up a tad bit after drinking a few cups. Depending on what your reading or who your are talking to people and medical professionals have mixed feelings about coffee. But my dietician said its what you put in your coffee thats probably not good for you all the time. So she told me to get Non-dairy Low Fat regular creamer and don't put alot of it in the coffee. Creamers can have a high fat intake which also can affect your bs. And after a few cups of coffee that fat adds up. But we know everything doesn't work for everyones body so I also would mention this to your doctor. Good Luck!

hmmm… thats weird. did you have anything to eat with it? or even something a few hours earlier that may have hit you later?

some foods (i notice this a lot with things like pizza… and pasta…) take a few hours before they hit you. pizza for example makes me go low within an hour- and then 2-3 hours later, im 350. so, maybe you had something to eat earlier in the day and then noticed your sugar went high later when you were drinking the sugar free stuff? i dont know… just a thought.

Hi Germaine how are you? Hopefully better after that sugar-free drink you had. I enjoy the crystal light flavors they have so many. I enjoy the peach mango green tea, all the ice tea and lemon flavors. They have so many. You should try them.

You might have an allergy to splenda. My cousin does. Can
you eat and drink other things which contain splenda?

You might want to try crystal light. It as many flavors.

That stuff scares me, I won't touch it. If you need some flavor to get you drinking the water, you could get some Stevia packets and add to the no sugar what-so-ever packets of Kool-aid. We use the drops instead of powder since it's cheaper, but either would work and is all natural.
