Not feeling so well!
Yesterday was my sons birthday so I shared in the joy of having a piece of cake. Today I feel aweful with diarreah and feeling like I'm going to vomit. I usually never eat sweets, anyone else have this problem if they splurge a little bit?

Not the same results, I just end up with high BS levels. I don't know what is worse, high levels or going into low blood sugar. I really feel bad when in low blood sugar levels.
Hi London hope your feeling much better. I try not to indulge in all the stuff I cant have. Although its very very hard to say no. I try to stick to sugar free, I know its hard but we got to stick together.
hope you feel heaps better soon. sounds like a gastro bug. my kids love their deserts and cakes and its very difficult for them because i usually avoid the confectionary aisle wheni shop. but its hard to avoid not getting cakes for bdays.
Thanks guys for all your advice and kind words, and Kirla I will be looking forward to your recipe:)
I pray you're beginning to feel better by now.
I have had this reaction. I rarely have anything with sugar.
If I do, even if its a bite or two I feel it the following day.
I hope you are feeling better soon.

Aww, Thanks Dan!
I do not know if sweets can do this. As Skip said it could be a reaction to the cake and sugar combo. Hope you feel better soon.

I eat a piece of what I call TVP chocolate cake every day at lunch. It’s made of soy. If you can eat soy I recommend it highly. You can’t buy it you can only make it. I guess you can bake it in a round or square cake pan and make a birthday cake out of it. I haven’t made a frosting yet for it but am thinking about making a low carb frosting by modifying a recipe someday. I just bought 50 lbs of soy flour and next time I make my cake I am going to try making it with soy flour. Soy flour is very low carb and doesn’t spike my blood sugar. I love it. When I bake my next cake with soy flour and if it comes out good I will post the recipe on the following site. Click the link for the recipe for TVP Chocolate cake.

Ps. For the last year I have yet to splurge even a little bit. I figure its not worth it. My feet remind me every day.
If you generally avoid breads and other wheat products, you might be gluten sensitive or even have celiac disease. I discovered I had it this past November and now that gluten is out of my life, the diarreah is gone!
If you have been good and staying away from the sweets and grains, then it is probably a reaction to the cake and sugar combo. It will pass.
I've been strict on my diet so I think this is the problem, boy I hope it passes soon. LOL
No, sounds like a "bug". I usually feel blah the next day, lack of energy, etc.
