Forgive my ignorance, but are you saying that dark chocolate is ok for diabetics?

Looking for anything I can give my 12 year old that might stop her sneaking food.

That's what the current findings dictate, but as with anything, there are and will be pros and cons.
Whatever you may decide to do, do a little personal research, talk to your doctor and if consuming anything, do so in moderation.

I have yet to read the referenced articles, however, I just made a fantastic low carb chocolate cake last weekend - it used cocoa and would have been better with very, VERY dark chocolate, but also used almond meal. The stuff was incredible, truly! I had two pieces and gave the rest to a chocoholic friend who DEVOURED it!

I am very fond of dark chocolate…too fond to sully my taste buds with (shiver) milk chocolate! However, while I am pretty happy hovering around the 73% cacao level, I find it just a tad too difficult to eat 99% cacao without wanting to cry from the bitterness!

Yummy! Dark chocolate!

I have been eating a piece of chocolate soy cake at lunch every day for several months now. Not sure if it has helped or not. Its just a good feeling getting to eat a piece of chocolate cake everyday that doesn't spike my blood sugar.

Maybe it is just me, but I think most of your "discussions" should actually be posted under the news and articles sections since you are posting websites and not real discussions. Again, just my opinion.
