Do you do any exercise? I was diagnosed in 2002 and started watching my carb intake and also started walking except in winter time that's why I bought a tread mill, anyway back to you question, I lost 75 lbs and according to what they say about thi pill I take one of the side affects is weight gain and I quit smoking. It is hard to quit smoking and lose weight at the same time. But any type of exercise would probably help with weight lose. With exercise you would probably need a few more carbs. Check your sugar before you start and when you finish, you will have to watch your sugars when exercising.

It will take time, took me over a year to lose 75 lbs. and it also depends on how fast you walk, no jogging just a fast brisk walk. Using the treadmill I can set the speed and set it at 2.1 miles per hour use to walk faster but it was causing my sugar to drop too much, just start slow and work your way up to a little faster walk. You will get there. I start walking a mile in a 30 mintue time frame then started going a little faster after I got use to that speed. now I walk 2.2 to 2.8 miles a night, walk for a hour everynight. I talk too much.

I put my tradmill in where my computer is at, has a DVD player and watch movies while I walk, helps keep my mind off the clock.
