Sudden low sugar readings last two days

Yesterday, I went a little beyond 4 hours between breakfast and lunch. Boy did I know it. I started feeling really really bad and shaky. I tested and my sugar level read 75. I thought it was wrong and retested, it was 74.

Today, before lunch, I tested and it was 95. I didn't feel as bad as I did yesterday but I did feel strange. Shook a little when I started eating.

I haven't been this low in a long time. I am documenting it and going to take it to my doctor.

74 and 75 is not a low. Just eat something and it will go up. I sometimes get reading in the 60's and feel fine.

Unless your taking insulin or lots of meds you shouldn't have to worry about reading in the 70's. Just eat something.

Some people who have had high blood sugar for a long time sometimes feel like there going low when there not.

Anyway talk with your doctor.

I think that is part of it. I have been over 300 for so long (not realizing it) that my body is not use to the lows. I am tracking all and go back to my doc on the 8th and the nutritionist as well.

Its important that meal times be regular. Carbs ingested
according to you food plan. This will help you normalize
your bg levels. You might need a visit with your diabetic
educator and your RD to work out the problems. Once
your Dr. knows what's going on you might need Rx adjustment.

It is very important to stay on the same schedule with meds and meal and snacks, any little deveation will through off your blood sugar. I stray away everonce in a while and I have the same effects.

As diabetics we have to be careful and can never be too careful.
You either have to set a consumption schedule for yourself or carry something with you to snack on until you can take the time out to have a meal.
Only you can do this, it's strictly up to you !
