Whether it's Type 1, Type 2 or Gestational, we all have one thing in common, Diabetes.

We all have different ways and coping mechanisms that we rely on to deal with this.

Some serious, others jokingly, some upbeat, others frustratingly, although there are many passengers, there is but one boat, with not enough oars for us to row to safety.

We have sails but the winds just don't seem to blow, so some of us will have to row while others rest, but we are all headed for the same destination.

It would be nice if we can all row together but best if we didn't, that way as some tire from the struggle of rowing, someone else, fresh from rest can row in their place while we wait and at times drift, sometimes patiently for that much needed wind to hopefully blow our way.

We may pass by, or be passed by others who have other afflictions but we are all human and understanding to some degree, and wish for them the best.

We have to stick together and stick it out, be ourselves, and at the same time try to place ourselves in the shoes of others, even if they don't fit.

If we can yell or at least try to yell as one voice, maybe, just maybe we can be heard, possibly saved !

Enough writing, it's my turn to row once again !

Mays I took such great comfort in what you said that I printed it out and have it right where I can see it everyday. It's true, some of need rest and others can give us hope at that time. I live it. You will never know how much it has helped me. Thank you.

So true and so uplifting. That's many reasons I'm glad I joined DC. The main thing is to get in the boat.
Thanks Mays
