No Matter What

Seems like no matter how hard I try or how leveled my sugars are that I can't win with this disease. I have been a diabetic for awhile. I know how to take care of myself. But I am always in pain; I feel like my sugar is high quite often even when it's not, I don't understand that. My legs get that funny, tight feeling; I am thirsty, shallow breathing and my sugar is in good range.
I don't want to fight anymore. I don't want diabetes to kill me, I'd rather go another way, I want that control. I know nobody gets that but God, I'm just so tired of trying anymore, it seems pointless…

Welcome to Diabetic Connect (DC) !

Let me start off by saying this, I do not sugar coat anything, especially not life, no short cuts, bailouts or buyouts with me.

I don't discourage you, I try to encourage you to become aware of your situation pertaining to Diabetes and it's Complications thru Awareness, Education and Action.

Unless you are a Type 1 Diabetic, you have aquired this chronic disease on your own and it is yours personally, a partner for life, you cannot get rid of it but you can learn to live with it, with you being in control of it.

Now you have a choice to make, you can either educate yourself pertaining to diabetes, it's complications and the control that you have (it's not easy, it takes time and effort) but you can do it, or you can give in, give up and suffer living a life of uncertainty, with possible complications, pain and suffering (there is no easy way out).

This is not about " Tough Love," it is about " Self Love," and it starts with you !

That choice is and will always be yours and yours alone to decide.
Once again, Welcome to Diabetic Connect, and remember, we are here to help you !

Hello and welcome to the site. You sound so sad and down and at the end of your rope. You have to drop that attitude and continue to fight this disease as we all are doing. It is not pointless, each day you take care of yourself you add another day to your life. Eventually everything is controlled by you, if you follow directions of your doctor or healthcare provider and if you keep in touch with the many many friends on this site you will receive help on your attitude. We all have been there and some of us are still there but we keep up the fight. After eight years my BS is finally in controll because I went to an Endocronologist who really cared about me and I also started eating correctly. Hang in there and keep in touch with us.
