I would start trying to research if there are any diabetes support group in your local community. I would also google American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org search for your state and its local office. They should have information on free programs or specialist you can see.

Many hospitals have a diabetic instructor
and they are free. Check with you Dr. and see if there is one at the hospital nearest you. Dan

Your situation is heart-breaking, but I'm not sure anyone here has the wrecklessness to tell you how to do your insulin, as it is a highly individualized thing. Is there some way you could go in via the ER to get some medical advice? You need a specialist to sit down and figure out your insulin/carb ratio for you, and the proper correction and bolus dosages. I guess you could Google "insulin/carb ratio formula" and see if that gives you a lead-in, but without knowing your daily carb intake, your sugar levels before and after a meal, even a doctor would have trouble advising you properly.
