It's best not to make excuses for bad living. Just try your hardest to eat right and exercise as much as possible even if it's while your sitting down. Don't give up just keep trying. you will be amazed at the results.

I pray we'll see you around a lot in the discussions. You will find a family of people united by a common challenge. You will find information, support and encouragement in helping you manage your diabetes.

Welcome!! Of course we all understand it can be hard to exercise but we just plain and simply have to to keep our health up. I cant wait till the weather breaks and I can walk outside once again and ride my bike too. Its hard for me too cause I hate exercising but we must. So even if you try something small don't call it exercising just call it something else.
I agree with you totally. They say to get 30 min a
day. Even if you have to add it up to get 30 min
by the end of the day, it is better than none.
3 -10 min are not too bad
Hi Sonja,
Welcome to our "Sweet" family…We are like a great big family where you will find support and understanding; caring people who share their experience and knowledge and also every day things like advise, jokes and even misunderstandings and grudges…but all with respect.
So once again , welcome and feel free to post anything you feel…Hugs…LISA
Such a great way to welcome someone !

WELCOME to DC!
Please enjoy the support, fellowship and the information you find here!
You & i have much the same kinds of problems, Sonja. I noted in the "tags" you (or someone else) put neuropathy. I and many others here have that problem. Use the [search discussions] tab in upper right of this page and type what you're looking for, and you'll find instances of where the term you'rs searching for is mentioned.
I noted also you have Kidney disease. So do I. I had been on dialysis for a while, but am now off of it because the infection thtat shut down my kidneys got resolved and they started working well enough to stop dialysis.
Eating right is always a problem. But there is only ONE of you in this world. Please do what you can to keep the complications of our disease at bay for as long as possible.
Hope to see you around for a long time
Blessings!
James

Welcome to Diabetic Connect !
As hard as it may be or that it may seem,
At some point you must find the strength to take responsibility and control of your situation.
It will not and cannot happen over night or in one big step.
Diabetes takes years to develope ( type 2 ) and it cannot be cured, but you can manage it !
But that choice is strictly up to you !
You must make that decision A.S.A.P.
You are right. thank youfor your careing words.
Sonja
