I cannot eat hotdogs but I like them on the grill. They have nitrates in them and nitraites give me migraines.

Hi My friend! It has been so long since I have been around and you are my first friend friend I have found…no Harlen was actually.

I would answer your question if I at Coney Dogs. I like my dogs grilled til they shriveled and are well, well cooked. Chili with NO onions in the chili is great. Can also eat lettuce and tomato…does this help?

I'm originally from AZ (Tucson early on; short time in Bakersfield, CA; Phx teen years; Flagstaff for college). Been in Colorado Springs, CO for about 6 yrs now and we've never looked back!

Spent my child hood years until i was 18 and went in the service in Tucson. No place like it. At every U of A basketball game the whole crowd would stand and say "hello Lute" when he walked out on the floor. I miss him there. I attended Cholla HS in its first year. Wish I was back.

RockyMtnGal 2010-10-09 17:15:51 -0500 Report

Yeah, I say I miss the AZ of my youth. It's gotten so big out there and cost of living is outrageous now while quality has declined. I don't ever want to leave the wide open spaces of the West though. How do you like the East Coast?

Cool. Ak-sar-ben isn't tho, right? My dad LOVED the races. Said he had a system for betting. Of course, whenever I went with him, that 'system' didn't seem to be working! Oh, well! :)

Just think, if you had to come back to the mainland (used to just think that in regards to Hawaii:) ), you could get extra pay for being bilingual!!

Monalisa 2010-02-21 13:05:58 -0600 Report

I know about the pay, I'm a nurse and my sister RIP was a nurse too she lived in Manhattan, she offered me to go work there for a very good pay compared to here but I had my children and parents here and I said no, as of today I don't regret this decision.

I lived In PR for a year when my ex was stationed at the Navy base. I really loved it there except for the bugs. They loved me!!

Monalisa 2010-02-21 13:07:38 -0600 Report

Yeah, really big bugs!!! And the mosquitoes are awful and abundant!!!

donna13 2010-02-21 15:39:02 -0600 Report

My brother was stationed in PR while in the air force. His wife went to be with him (had a baby while there). She complained about the bugs and, since they rented a house in a rural area, the rats coming out of the fields. They went back on a vacation years later, and they both said that they really had not seen the best of PR when they had lived there. It was such a beautiful place and they had missed so much of it.

Kansas City, Missouri.

And, yes, there IS a Kansas City, Kansas - you can stand on State Line Road with one foot in KC Missouri and the other in KC Kansas. Very confusing for people who don't live here!

Kansas City is a much better name than one suggested (but not taken) by our founding fathers back when we were a territory - some of them thought Possum Trot would be a great name for their little village on the Missouri River! Thankfully, they chose "The Town of Kansas" instead.
