Don't know if it is good for anyone, but 4 to 5 small meals a day helps. before bed I eat celery and peanut butter.

You might try this site. Despite its name, It's great for making quick meals for one or two people. There are a few sample recipes and, if you like them, you can get the entire book for $15 or so; maybe cheaper for a used one on Amazon.

I am going to check it out on Amazon. Thank you.

I love my slow cooker. If you send me your email address, I can send you an email I received with all sorts of crock pot recipes.

Also, another place to buy used books is www.half.com. It is a sister company of eBay. S2

Most of my meals I make once or twice a week and just heat up a small amount every meal. Most dishes will last a week or more. When I get home I heat up some turkey sloppy joes with salsa and cheese and have a salad with a low carb dressing with a couple tablespoons of red wine vinegar. I eat everything out of a bowl or off a plate. I never eat bread anymore. I have posted my story here so people can get an idea of how I got my blood sugar under control. http://kirla.wordpress.com/

I just started the blog two days ago. It’s been a lot of work setting it up. I'm not sure were I'm going with it yet. I plan on adding pages about my experiences with diabetes.

I plan on adding other recipes to sparkpeople and adding links to them in the future. Maybe in a few months it may turn out to be something people will want to visit.

Thanks for stopping

I plan and prepare two or three dishes for the week. I cook and portion size these for meals. I clean and cut veggies for salad
and place them in a "green" bag that keeps them fresh for a week to 10 days. I make a fruit salad with fresh fruit and add a can of pineapple in juice. This keeps the fruit. I might also made sugar free jello or pudding. This is a weeks worth of
meals. all prepared in 2-3 hours once a week.

If you can cook on the weekends, plan your menus and cook enough for the whole week. Then portion size it in individual containers so you wont be tempted to eat more of the dish. A little bit of planning and maybe an hour of two of cooking, then your all set for the week. Pop it in the oven or microwave when you get home, and voila…there goes some of the stress about what to eat or when, Good luck.
