I was reading an article about the urge to snack. There was one simple solution I found interesting. To release the stress and tension that send you searching for snacks, here is a quick trick. Chew sugarless gum or go for a walk-or walk and chew gum at the same time! This will get you away from the stressful situation and give your mouth something to do( other than consume calories)

Thanks! Great idea ! I always have gum for the kids, but never like the sugary stuff that they liked. Never thought of the sugarless.

Great tip! Stress is no doubt the biggest contributor to our binge snacking…LOL And for those that can't get up and walk away from the stress, close your eyes, and try some deep slow breathing. There are times when I'm in a meeting and cannot walk out, so I do the breathing techniques and it realy seems to help me, even if I can't close my eyes.

I love walking also, but I also get lazy and do not always want to leave home to walk. I then have a ball with my Yoga and dancing. I can do whatever use my yoga I was trained in or ad lib. That is fun especially when dancing. I love th Oldies, like twisting etc.
