The first I noticed was I used up all my wishes and you are still here. some people take that wrong.

It is snowing again. I think I am getting tired of this. Most snow we have ever had. Not suppose to get snow with Global Warming are we?

Pam from KCMO 2010-02-14 09:38:56 -0600 Report

To explain: the warming of the globe is causing climate change. Which equals/triggers shifting weather patterns which equals strange weather. Which may be why my brother-in-law shoveled 11 inches of snow in DALLAS TX (!!!) the other day and big ice shelves keep breaking off in the Antarctic.

It doesn't necessarily mean we're gonna get warmer - but if the experts are right, we're in for some big changes.

I get really fried when someone can just stand by and watch another person get the crap beat out of them! That poor girl the other night had been knocked down and then while lying there had them come and kick her.. I do not care what she did she did not deserve that.. and the ones really to blame are the Security People who just stood by and watched.. One even turned his back to the whole thing!! What are we as a society becoming????

Anonymous 2010-02-14 06:50:58 -0600 Report

lighten up people, it was in jest to create a laugh, we all have shit in one hand and some on our face, wash it off and move on, no one will ever know unless you tell or it still smells

Roy531 2010-02-14 08:15:33 -0600 Report

When you make remarks like you make you put people on the defensive. We come here to learn from each other and for the companionship. From what I understand there has been others that use the Anon and are not very good people. So if you cannot have a positive input or get into a discussion, don't say anything that people will take the wrong way.

Anonymous 2010-02-14 09:23:55 -0600 Report

Roy531 2010-02-14 09:38:19 -0600 Report

What I am saying there are people that hide behind anon and always makes remarks that should not be made, so when somebody is using anon and since we haven't seen you join in a discussion but only make remarks, we are put on a defensive cause we do not know what is meant by it good or bad.

Anonymous 2010-02-14 09:45:31 -0600 Report

no offense intended but isn't that a bit like not accepting a new neighbor in the neighborhood or into the clique so to say because they are new ?

Roy531 2010-02-14 09:56:23 -0600 Report

Not knowing that you are new, might be the other anon, not knowing. Sorry if I offended you in any way.

Just a little thing, but REALLY irritating. I've been up since 5 am making my morning coffee in my husband's @#$% espresso maker because he broke the pot for my coffeemaker. It's a very messy process, I can only do it one cup at a time and it takes too much time. Plus I seem to be operating from the ceiling because of the caffeine.

He told me three days ago he'd replace it that day. He hasn't. Maybe it's my Valentine's Day present.

Phew. I feel better now, thanks. Think I'll go make another cup of #$%@ coffee. ;)

Justice is served…

In a city park stood two statues, one female and the other male. These two statues faced each other for many years.

Early one morning, an angel appeared before the statues and said, "Since the two of you have been exemplary statues and have brought enjoyment to many people, I am giving you your greatest wish. I hereby give you the gift of life. You have 30 minutes to do whatever you desire."

And with that command, the statues came to life, smiled at each other, ran toward some nearby woods and dove behind a couple of bushes.

The angel smiled to himself as he listened to the two statues giggling, bushes rustling and twigs snapping. After 15 minutes, the two statues emerged from the bushes, satisfied and smiling. Puzzled, the angel looked at his watch and asked the statues, "You still have 15 minutes. Would you like to continue?"

The male statue looked at the female and asked, "Do you want to do it again?"

Smiling, the female statue said, "Sure; but this time you hold the pigeon down and I'll poop on its head."

my P&M for the day is this; I went out into the ice and snow to do some grocery shopping. I grabbed my cloth bags so that I wouldn't have to use the plastic. Only one register opened and it was run by some female straight out of the movie "Deliverance" ( Imagine the bangos playing in the background) No hello or did you find everything you needed, even though she was chatted with the people ahead of me…okayyyy. I got my bags ready for the groceries but she tried to put them in the plastic. I asked her, " please put those in this bag instead please" ( the bango music is speeding up now) she pulls my groceries out of the plastic and slingssss my food onto the conveyor so I had to catch it ( bango still playing faster) then I finally let the groceries pile up so she couldn't sling them anymore ( bango music stops suddenly) She huffs as I put them in my cloth bags. Finally she ripps my receipt off the cash box and hands it to me. I just snatched it out of her hands and walked away.

This is how I know god exist because it was god's hand that prevented me from grabbing that deliverance heffa from around that cash register and shaking her into the 21st century. pffft… Thank you I'm better now…lolol

It's not that hard to smile, and be nice, and it doesn't cost a thing! Hope the rest of the day goes better for you…

gma, I agree with you…That is why these people are in my prayers…I feel they are hurting and reaching out the only way they know how…I love everyone, and I have compassion and empathy for others…We are all human, and we all hurt, and need others to give us strength when we feel as though we have none… People shouldn't be nasty to each other; life is just too short…I struggle everyday…And, I appreciate all the help I can get!

I post anonymously to protect my health information privacy and to speak freely about my health situation. I would never post anonymously to say something rude or nasty such as the post by some other person using Privacy Manager here. I expect better manners and more maturity than than that cowardly use of anonymity demonstrates. Don't mean to sound "preachy", but to the other Anon: If you can't say something nice, maybe you shouldn't say anything at all.

I just have one question, since this is a health site, why would you not want anyone to know about your health problems? You have the option to list your other health problems, other than the diabetes, or not…I don't get it, I guess…

Anonymous 2010-02-14 17:01:56 -0600 Report

Sue - Yes, this a health site, but it is also on the internet. There is nothing to keep employers and others from accessing personal information that the writer doesn't want them to know. So I'm just keeping my health information private. I continue to be appalled by people who use anonymous postings to be rude and to say things they would never put their name to.

Well, anonymous, I can see how your comment could be taken several different ways…Maybe you should be more specific when things like that are being said…That way, we can all know how you are meaning what you are saying…It could be taken in a good way, and then again, it could be taken in a bad way…Let's just hope that you ment that you had used up all of your wishes, but, thankfully, you are happy that we are still here! It is very easy for something to be taken out of it's proper context!!!!

That's what I meant about being more specific…Things, when written can so easily be taken out of the proper context! I know I say things a lot that someone might take in an entirely different way than how I ment it! It's ok now you have explained yourself, and I think we all understand!
