Getting diabetes supplies that can or will help beyond Medicade. Unemployed at the moment. On two types of insulin, syringes, test strips. Trying to get changed to the pen for both Humolog and Lantus. No other type of help at all.

I was reading through the discussions and ran upon a person that has had a similar situation, she suggested a medical program freemedicineprogram.com. I hope that this helps.

Bless you!

Found this site while researching prescription assistance for myself. Recently lost my job when I got ill and ended up in the hospital for 3 and a half weeks. Lost my insurance. Single dad with three at home 14 and under. I have "Share the Cost" a useless FL program. I pay the first $1030.00 each month. I guess my $275 weekly unemployment is supposed to cover that. I also need Lantus and Humalog and all related supplies. I have an Opticlix pen. Where can we go to get theses supplies for a month or two until I am healed enough from my surgery to go back to work?

Your endocrinologist has tons of all of these samples as we have them in our office. Tell them that you need help. We give our patients what they need. Hopefully your endo. will do the same. Also, contact the drug company that makes the insulin. They all have patient assistance programs. Hope that this help. Sloan
