Super Bowl weekend. I didn't eat early Saturday. Because I was running around getting things done for my 1 year old's Granddaughter's birthday party. which I was still late to. Anyway I order pizza after for my kids. I hate two pieces, two bread sticks/w sauce, and chicken breast. Took diabetic med In the morning it 141 which for me that higher than it usually is but good for me. Okay Sunday I ate again late so I ate a piece of cold pizza(i like it cold the next day) with my coffee. The I went out to the store and I ate about 4:00pm More pizza & bar-be-que wings and one bread stick and soda. Monday Blood Sugar was130. Now yesterday I ate two pancakes two sausages on a stick, coffee and milk. For snack popcorn /w butter. Dinner 6 popcorn chicken ,pork n beans and corn and water & soda. This Morning BS IS UP 198. And funny thing is I feel good. When my sugar is lower in the 56-70's (regular for me ) sugar I feel tired some times no energy. So have this happen to any one before and what did you do about it?

I think one of my downfalls are the bread sticks at Olive Garden. Once I start can't stop. Of course I pay for it later.

Pizza always drives up my blood sugar. I have a hard time sticking with my plan when I am at a party where there are a lot of munchies and not "real" food. If there is a meal, I can usually pick and choose, but when there are a bunch of finger foods, it is harder for me to keep track of what I am eating and I usually have a spike in my blood sugar.

I did want to mention too that beans and corn are both carbs, so that may have had something to do with your increase too.

Yeah, and almost everything at a get together type of thing is bad for you and higher in carbs. Christmas Eve for example, I was all over the wheat thins and spinach dip and rye dip and bread - that's what a diabetic need to overload on: bread and crackers!
And we had a cake for my aunt today and even though I was telling myself not to eat a piece, I did anyway, fortunately my sugar was at 121 afterward, or something like that.

The 198 blood sugar is probably because you ate so erratically for 2 or 3 days. If you go back to your regular eating it should go back down.

Being that I am human it has certainly happened to me.
We each do the best we can each day. Its also a good reminder. It gets me back on my carb count per meal the next meal.

Better to ask who has not done it but then you would not get any responce lol
it is way hard to stick to eating what you know you can have "It all looks so good"and just a little bit will not kill you and then befor you know it your stuffed lol on things you cant eat O-well .
Best wishes

If I eat 2 slices of pizza my blood sugar would be way high normally Mine, when I check it is anywhere from 86 to 98. Ate 2 slices once and it shot up to 271 quit eating pizza after that.

it's hard for me not to overeat at an outing. During super sunday I had to watch everyone pig out on pizzas, chips chicken wings chili, and other foods. i ate one wing and drank some diet pepsi. My blood sugar was still up in the 300 after not eating hardly anything.
