There is a little relief out there when buying medication.
Wal-Mart has discounts on many generic brands of medication. They have over 350 brands of a 30 day supply for $4.00. They have over 1000 over the counter medications for $4.00 or less. Some of these medications for 90 days supply are only $10.00. Target has a similar program. Walgreens,Kroger Supermarket, Food City, and Giant Eagle all have discounts using generic brands. Even if you have insurance this is a big help to you and the insurance companies.

There is a catch. they will only cover what is the recommended dosages. i am on metformin 1000mg twice a day.. they will only cover 1000mg a day. so it ended up costing me more than if i went through my insurance.

This is very true I get mine through the 90 day supply at Wal-Mart, and all I have to pay is $10 for each one. I hope others catch on and use these programs.

I told my sister Sue about it and she said that her Dr. would not give her a Generic for one of her scrips and it costs so much she cant get it. I checked her Sugar before she laid down and it was 408 I gave her alot of different books and info. that I've had copies of hopefully it helps her. I also gave her a list of web sites to check out for help with her perscriptions. She said thankyou to all of you for my getting the information that I have passed onto her. She has Cataracts growing on her eyes and has been going thru a Dr. for Laser Surgery she says it has helped alot. i don't know how if they are still growing.
I also sent her an invite to our site here. I'm sure she'll join us.

It has also done wonders for me. I get more information from here than the Dr.
I would recommend Diabeticconnect to anyone with diabetes.

This site has been extremely helpful to me. I don't typically discuss my health issues with friends nor family members. This gives me a forum where I can obtain support as well as resources to aid me in controlling my glucose levels.

Thanks
