Well I have to join with you all. I went to Dr. who said it was a yeast infection caused by heat. Gave me some cream and it helped, but would come back. Finally I tried using a powder to help keep it dry and that seems to work fairly well. Never knew a man could get a yeast infection, but then since coming down with diabetes I've learned it's a different ball game.

First I must say I am Male, that said I have experienced some kind of a rash wich I treated with Peroxide. Anywho the intake of Beer will cause a sweat related reaction and other liquids will also cause that. My answer… Water.

I agree, Jeannie. My skin has become super-sensitive and I always look for all cotton bras, underwear, pajamas, socks, and sheets. Seems to help.

Sometimes in hotel rooms I have to sleep on top of the covers - the sheets are all cotton but they've used such heavy bleach it makes me itch!

My sister gets this a lot, uses the cream from dr. but also found some powder, I think made by Vagisil (sp) that dries it out and then it finally goes away. She finds that hot weather is a killer, then she usually has cotton underneith, good luck.

I belive everyone on here is right, it does sound like a yeast infection. I had one that was very persistant. My doc gave me diflucan (a pill that is an antifungal) as well as the antifungal cream. The combo of the 2 finally got rid of the infection for good.

Good Luck!!

It does sound like a yeast infection. The first couple times I had it, got a prescription from my doc. I now just use an over-the-counter tube of stuff for vaginal yeast infections - and that works.

Sounds like yours is pretty persistent. Mine's just been occasional so not sure what else to do. Good luck - I know how irritating it is!

Sounds like a yeast infection. I have one now because of an antibiotic I finally had to take for my cold. Now the yeast infection. It hurts, itches, and SMELLS ! You will need an rx to get it cleared up..

Best of wishes

I have not idea, unless if it could be from heat. Have you seen a dermatologist for it? If not that may be your best bet. They know it all for the skin (obviously)…I had a planters wart and a Dr. tried cutting it out 3 times (not cool with diabetes), it kept reappearing and I went to the dermatologist, she put poison ivy on it and it went away and never came back. Amazing!!

I had a rash from exercising. Try some baby powder in the morning when you dress. It may help wick away the moisture.
