I am on the road lot. i clean houses for a living. and i know that my sugar low times. 7 am, 10 am., 12:30 pm , 3 pm and 7 pm. I have gotten in the habit of bringing easy to eat foods with me. A handful of grapes, nuts, celery with pntbtr, a apple. it saves me from stopping at a store and picking up a candy bar. I also make sure I carry a water bottle with me. If i know that I will be with another person while shopping I will even bring a extra water bottle and a baggie of goodies to share!

Donna, I too am on the road a lot and do not like stopping at those convenience stores for food. One of the things I do, is make large meals ahead of time like a potroast or something similar. Then I freeze it in individual sizes. If you put a sandwich made out of frozen pork slices for instance in a soft sided cooler with a frozen bottle of water, it will still be cold when your ready for it, but not frozen anymore.
Find the things you like and make your mini meals up and stock that freezer. I always have several things to choose from that I made up earlier in the week. Being a single parent, it works out well for my son too. He can pick out something he has a taste for, pop it in the microwave and something healthier than a bag of chips…LOL

REcently I have found some recipes that are good for the whole family. I think I will start to cook up larger meals to freeze. That way I will always be prepared and not get stuck with just anything.
