Nothing scares me more than my feet. So, I try to make sure they are well cared for. Powders and lotions, and drying them well. Tickle tests (please dont kick the tickler!)
How do any of you take care of your feet (ie toe nails, pedicures, etc.)?
Here is a number from Diabetes for Dummies for a booklet. I called it and recieved a free booklet on foot care. 1-800-860-8747. The booklet is called Feet Can Last a Life Time. I made a copy of the booklet and gave my doctor a copy also.

does any one soal their feet at the end of the day? do you use epsom salts, which is spelled really wrong! What is the recommended soak time?

Please do as I say and not as I do…LOL I try to take care of my feet properly, but as many of you know, I'm very active in Tae Kwon Do…which to say the least is pretty hard on them. I do everything else the way the experts reccomend though. I DO inspect my feet, keep them dry and if needed add lotion etc. My brother bumped his toe on his bedpost and did not pay attention to it. He is Diabetic also and it got infected and had to be amputated. He alsmost lost his whole foot from it all. Aside from the losing his toe, he was in the hospital for 12 days because of the infection…I was only in for 5 with open heart surgery, so this is a very real concern that we all need to be aware of.

I can testify to how important it is to care for feet. as many of my discussions will attest. I have seen first hand the problems that can occur.
