Hi guys…yesterday I went with my son (22yr.old) to a rock band try-out, it was a 2 hr drive to get there and the same back…Well I had fun with the kids but I forgot to take my meds and insulin before leaving…I went to bed at about 5am and woke at 2pm the thing is that at about 5pm I fainted!!! fell backward like dead, didn't feel a thing! just out!! well I woke up at the hospital and that was very scary, I just got home, they said Im ok that my blood pressure was low!!! I don't remember anything, not even if i took my med's before fainting or where was I when it happened…I am so scared…dreading alzheimer's…my family from my moms side have had various memebers with this condition and this has me very nervous!
Please include me in your prayers…

Hello and I hope you are doing better. I can relate, my problem was not eating on time. I pray you will be alright and remember to always take something with you when you go on a long trip even if you dont think it is going to be a long trip it is a good to have something to treat low blood sugers. God Bless you

Hi Lisa,
I'm on BP meds and there are times that I wake up at night and take a few steps
and the next thing I know I'm on the floor. I don't faint I just get dizzy and
light headed, I check my BP and it is high at that time.It was my fault for not getting to the drug store to get my meds. I will keep you in my prayers, you
make sure to take care of yourself.

I just read all your responses. I think you fain ted because of
lowbg. I'm a retired nurse and one thing I know for myself is
if I don't eat at regular times and take my insulin I'll end up
in an ER.

I've fainted, and had some blood pressure meds. stopped. I stood up too fast and felt funny, sat in a chair, woke up with my nose on the floor, looking at the carpet. Another time, I was dehydrated and my blood pressure was low. Couldn't even sit up without getting faint. Laid down and had to go to the hospital, by ambulance.

It's not a sign of Alzheimer's. It's a sign of you probably didn't eat, didn't eat right, and/or didn't eat enough. You were probably dehydrated from not drinking enough or drinking the wrong liquids.

Did anyone at the hospital check your blood sugar? That might be helpful if they did.
