Got this from www.webmd.com a few minutes ago. I know there is lots of talk about doctors and this is good advice. Hope it helps.

Me too, thankfully as well. But, at one time or another we might.

Here in Vegas in '08 a scandal came out. A gastro doc that was major owner in several clinics was discovered to have had ordered his anesthesiologist nurses in his practices to reuse syringes and the med to put the patient to sleep before the colonoscopies that were designed for single use even tho there was extra medication in the vials. At least 109 of over 50,000 patients were genetically linked to an outbreak of Hepatitis C. The office was always crowed to standing room only. A procedure that should take a minimum of 7 minutes lasted about 3, and the lawsuits will hopefully start this year. I had 2 procedures at one of his surgery centers and am thankfully clean from both Hep C and HIV. After the first procedure where he started the colonoscopy before I was asleep, I told his partner, my gastro, that his partner would never touch me again. And, before my second procedure, not only did I tell all personal that he was not to touch me, I wouldn't let them put me under until I saw my gastro in the room. Turns out my gastro wasn't perfect either, as one of the partners he was well aware of what was going on, and, was sued by a patient who developed colon cancer the doc missed by doing a speedy procedure that was what the practice was known for by staff, not patients or medicare/medical, etc. Gotta go with your gut and get away from the bad ones.

I remember hearing a lot about that when I was living in LV.

I had a 'scope in '07 @ UMC when an inpatient there, not in that proceedure mill. Glad I was inpatient. But in '06 I had dye injected for 2 MRIs. I seem to exhibit a mild case of whatever it is you get from those dye injections.

(added later)
I am wondering if my kidney failure is due to those dye injections.

We have had so much discussion on here about people unhappy with their doctors, I thought that this was very timely and would help those on the fence to see if it helps them to decide to stay or find another doctor.
