Now thats one thing that I will not do; eat veggies out of a can. I try my best to support local farmers and I will freeze what I can so that I can have it for the winter. That goes for my fruits also.

Oh man, I LOVE squash…and I don't mean like I love a television show, or getting flowers at work. I mean I love squash like it's my significant other! LOL! I just can't get enough of the stuff! Never had it out of a can though…could be interesting.

I would probably like them. I like to take yellow squash and zucchini and steam them in a double boiler dish in the microwave just till the insides are slightly cooked (slice them and leave peel on). I could eat them, mixed or seperate, every day.

My sister had squash at thanksgiving dinner and I tried some. It was really good. I believe it was just the frozen kind you buy in any supermarket. I plan on adding it to my menu. Its not often you find foods that are good for you and don’t spike your blood sugar. I’m always looking to expand what I eat. It seems I eat the same foods every day.

I so know what you 2 mean, Kirla and Deb.. I have eaten so much fish and salad til i wonder if I will ever eat anything different again in my life. and Kirla, squash is just a way of life around here in the south… lol use to grow it fresh all the time till i wasn't able to work in one as much as i use to. I stay so busy with being a single momma and work, research, etc. that we just have enuff time to mow the yard i have now, much less garden in it. Glad you tried it tho and liked it… it is good for u as long as u dont fry it. lol.. which the southerners love, but i love it steamed, baked, broiled, in things … Good luck with ur diets yall and share anything else you guys know to eat that can expand our menus. lol. Have a great one. Nicki

What kind of store did u get it at? Like … one that is national.. like Wal Mart or something? I recently tried whole grain butternut/spinach stuffed raviolis … mmmmmmmm that was good.
and the pasta wasnt too much, u get veggies in it tooo.. plus I always take precautions and do a good walk b4 and after if im gonna eat something like that, which is not often, cuz i know i have to lay off that stuff.

I don't know the brand. I love squash, but we have a garden.
I make butternut and acorn squash all fall and winter.
