Due to popular demand…Piss N Moan #2 is open for business…this is a place to bi*ch, vent, rant, joke, whatever!…Nothing is off limits and your gripes dont have to be about diabetes particularly…but its ok to complain about that here too! lol…This is the "feel better thread" with no rules…

Warning ~ It may not be the place for sensitivity lol…but the last thread ended up being primarily pretty funny stuff! So let it all hang out :oP

Real P&M…had 2 bad calls tonite, but the worst was the last one. This 36 yr old A**h*** was abusive and used profanity and I am still steaming. At one point I asked if his address was correct and he said no, so I asked if I could update it…he rushed thru the street address so I kept verifying it and he got nastier and nastier…and when we got to the city, he said "Hamtown" CA…I asked him if this was a fictitious city and he said no. So, when his next statement is sent to his "new address" and gets returned, we will put a block on the account and he won't be able to use his credit card. He never let me fix the original issue as he stated he would not send the request in writing/fill out the cancellation form I wanted to send him. Oh well, he is "S*** out of luck, but I was abused in the meantime. I sure he gets his fill of "what goes around comes around! Not LOL.

A couple of enterprising bass players, unwilling to sit through a long, bass-less stretch of Beethoven's Ninth, sneaked off stage and into the bar next door. Beer flowed; time passed. "Look at the time! We have to get back!" said one. "Relax," said his partner, "I tied the last few pages of the conductor's score together with string. It will take him a few minutes to untangle it." They staggered back into the hall and took their places. About this time, a member of the audience noted that the conductor was breaking a sweat. "Of course," replied her companion, "It's the bottom of the Ninth, the score's tied, and the bassists are loaded!"

Better save that. We'll need it for the autopsy.

Someone call the janitor - we're going to need a mop.

"Accept this sacrifice, O Great Lord of Darkness!"

Spot! Spot! Come back with that! Bad Dog!

Wait a minute, if this is his spleen, then what's that?

Hand me that…uh…that…uh…thingie.

Oh no! I just lost my Rolex.

Oops! Hey, has anyone ever survived 500ml of this stuff before?

Damn, there go the lights again…

"You know, there's big money in kidneys. Heck, the guy's got two of them."

Everybody stand back! I lost my contact lens!

Could you stop that thing from beating; it's throwing my concentration off.

What do you mean he wasn't in for a sex change…!

Anyone see where I left that scalpel?

This patient has already had some kids, am I correct?

Nurse, did this patient sign the organ donor card?

Don't worry; I think it's sharp enough.

What do you mean "You want a divorce"!

She's gonna blow! Everyone take cover!!!

FIRE! FIRE! Everyone get out of here!

I have been out of commission today due to a possible UTI. I am so very frustrated that no matter how good I think I am taking of myself I seem to get these infections on a regular basis Why take such good care of myself if this and that can take over and still make your blood sugar go on the rise. I would love to eat what I want but I do not. WHY

jayabee52

Because you KNOW what would happen if you did, Tracy. If you didn't take care of yourself and watch what you eat, how much WORSE would your BGs be, and your complications would be as a result. Good luck on getting your UTI resolved.

Brain overload! lol

They think that might be part of my back trouble, fell out of a tree as a kid and SAT on the ground, could barely walk for 2 mos, in those days no one had health ins or money to Dr, you did the best with what you had. Which is one reason, I guess, that I am so independent! Survival mode, you know——also other incidents, then turning those 200 and 300 Pound patients, little did I know that I would ever hit 200 #, but am working on taking it off——-

Did you ever HELP a patient to the BR, then have them go DOWN on top of your bent back that was trying to focus their butt onto the right hole—-then didn't know how you were going to get out from under them?? It caused a touch of FEAR, I believe! But, I made it—-Pride, you know—-comes in handy but is a poor substitute for a poor back! Or the night I tried to take a SHORT CUT and turn a patient over from the wrong side, pulling TOWARDS ME , thus stretching way OUT and over their back—a big No-no! Like I say, "Live and Learn"!
