Is anyone else having problems with your moods from meds?

I'm not real sure what is causing this. It's almost as bad as when I was going thru memapose. My sugers have gone out of control lately. Had to go on insulin. Still working with doc to get right meds. But driving family crazy with wild mood swings.

I was going thru menopause when I was diagnosed with diabetes - talk about one whacked-out woman! Passed thru the first (eventually) and am always working to control the second (well, mostly). :)

When I feel out of control and want to lash, I TRY to remember to get to someplace private and just breathe for a few minutes. Amazing what a series of deep breaths can do.

I try to get alone also, but that is hard. No privacy in this house. Too many people. Maybe thats why I wig out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly I really don't realize I'm doing it until my husband says something to me. At least he's not mean about it.

I usually realize it AFTER I've just heard myself say something mean. Luckily, like you, my husband doesn't take it personally. (Well, most of the time anyway)

And, for real privacy, how about the bathroom? :)

Watching what I eat and portion sizes in control, and bg in
target range and I am a good frame of mind. If I go high or
low I know it. My mood will change.

I almost think that almost comes with the territory. Diabetes is such a hard thing to manage and control at least it has been for me.
