bladder and yeast infection
I am having trouble controlling this problem of mine, I been to the ER and seen several doctors, but my condition seems to come back, and I am losing so much weight. What could be causing this.

Hmm, yeast infection?? I wonder if that is what I have been having?! IT itches and burns, "down there" till I can hardly stand it, Vaseline lotion was not helping so switched to VICKS! I mentioned it to my Dr today, he didn't look surprised—I had not mentioned it to anyone —My urologist did look surprised and said he hadn't heard of anyone using Vicks before! Frankly I was surprised that he even knew what I was referring to!!
It feels a bit too cool, right at first (I scrub first with warm water and Dial soap) dry then apply the Vicks! It worked wonders for me, if that is what I had/have—-Don't even know it is there for the whole day/night and bath time again. PR
Pat, it does sound like a yeast infection. I have never heard of anyone using Vicks before. Might have to try that one!!
Yow, me either, but then I didn't know, just was trying anything to ease IT, whatever IT was. Nothing that I was familiar with but with the malignant kidney removal, I suspected that "stuff" wasn't quite what it should be. Also, he said that I still had pink scar tissue/ proud flesh, looked it up on the internet and guess it is OK> HE was so nice, I still can't get over my Blessings in that respect. Thanks, Pat Roth
Vicks cools!! At first you get a bit of a whang—then it subsides and is OK for about 24 hours—PR
Yeast is a natural organism in our bodies, We have a natural level that does not create problems for us. The bladder and urinary tract are perfect environment for yeast, warm and moist. Sugar is the natural food for yeast. Excess sugar in urine provides food for yeast, they eat, multiply, excrete alcohol, CO2, and become a health problem.
Hence the alcohol are reasons why brewers and bakers use yeast (different strains of course, but they all share the same properties) Thats' the scientist in me speaking.. Talk to the medical folks, get it cleared up and keep glucose level low.
(side bar) That's how they used to test glucose levels in the old days, by weeing on a stick and comparing colors.
i have always heard that high sugar can cause yeast infections , and also weight loss. so it sounds like that may be your answer. now u just need to get your sugars down !! i know easier said then done… hope u have good luck and feel better soon.

Hi, Yeast Infections can occur when your blood sugars are high. I used to suffer from frequent yeast infections in my teens and early 20's. This was when my b/s were always high. I have been a Type 1 since the age of 5, I am now 52.
I found that if you keep your b/s in a good range (PER YOUR DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS) you will have less of a problem. Drinking lots of water also helps with bladder infections.
It took me 4 months to get rid of my infections. Yogart helps but doesn't cure the problem. Had to take some very strong meds.
Thanks for your generous help, I appreciate that.
Ii use to have the re-occurring yeast infections, I also started to add daily yogurts, Cranberry juices, and plenty of water daily. And it helped me so much, but my doctor ended up using a freezing technique on me and no more yeast infections ever came back. Thank God!! Maybe you can ask your doctors about that gynecology doctor.
How does that freezing technique work for the yeast infection? That is the first time I heard of such technique. I will diffentaly tell my doctor. Thank you so much!
they say yogart help with yeast infections and cranberries for kidney i bye the cranberries and cook them in sted of adding sugar i add splenda. hope this helps you should shower insted of bath where lose fitting pants and ppj if you use them thecotten underware also helps mybe it is your meds as well talk to your dr about this
