I have been a diabetic since at least 2005. I've been depressed for at least that long if not longer. But I've finally learned you have to take control of your own life and survive. Instead of sitting around and eating my life away, I wanted more but didn't know what. But I made my first step, I enrolled in college. I start on 1-7-10, yes, I am still depressed and I am nervous about being back in school but I at least now have something a few hours a day to keep me occupied and hopefully for those few hours I don't have to worry about everything. Which worry and stress isn't good for the diabetes , either. All I can say is, FIND SOMETHING to do and keep your mind busy. I am still depressed about alot of things but this will give me a little "vacation" away from a powerful symptom. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO LET THIS "MONSTER" IF YOU WILL, CONTINUE TO RUIN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. EVERYONE DESERVES SOME HAPPINESS. SO FIND YOUR HAPPINESS.

Depression a hard word to experience, but everyone in their life span at least once came across it. We have to work hard to over come it by building our mental strength. First analyze our interest, involve ourselves in those interested activities most of the time, can help to overcome depression. My best wishes for faster recovery.

Good for you LoriAnne: We all, who suffer from depression, need to give our minds a break from time-to-time. We need to find something to be passionate about, and to focus on, rather than the constant worries that we have with this dreaded disease… Good luck and best wishes!
