thanks everyone for answering this,I can't eat peanit butter, but have tried the crackers and cheese, and am adding 1 slice of whole grain bread to my meal at dinner this seems to help, but 1 problem I have been having is after my meal, instesd of my bs goig up like it should,it drops, not always but at least 2 to 3 times a week.Does anyone know why this could be happening? My thought is maybe not eating enough,or maybe something else?Should I be concerned?

Like Dance, I eat some crackers with peanut butter, or some other snack before bed and I do not have any troubles. Before I strated doing this, I could not fall asleep at night…my body wanted me to eat…LOL

I'm sorry I can't help you more, but I will keep you all in my prayers and thoughts though. :-)

can it be the hunger queeeze? I use to get that till I started using extendbars at night they last about 9 hours in your system.
or do 3 bites of cottage cheeses the extra protien helps.
do a slice of meat or peanut butter on a cracker.
let us know if it helps

Hey Liz,

I have this ocassionaly. If you are on Metformin this could be the cause. I also have GI problems so that usually accounts for my nauesea. Most of the time if I feel very sick and it is bothersome, I eat a piece of whole wheat low carb bread, that usually works for me. You might want to check with your doctor tho to make sure you are not having an adverse reaction to any meds you are on. Hope you feel better :)

Thanks Jo, I'm not currently on any meds for the diabetes, the doctor wants me to just try diet and exercise for now,I was diagnosed type2 in November,2007,but kinda knew I had it back in October,I had all the signs, and it also runs in my family. Thanks, tonight I'll try a slice of whole grain bread, thats about the only bread I can eat.

Great Liz..I hope it works..all the other suggestions are good as well. I have GI problems so I make extra bile, that is why I feel sick at night and sometimes in the AM..don't know if this would be true for you to???
