After my accident I was left with partial loss of feeling in one leg and foot. A Neurology specialist diagnosed this as CMT Disease ( Charcot-Marie-Tooth ). It's somewhat rare to be diagnosed with it. I'm curious to see if there are any other Diabetics in your lives who have this condition.

I have had Charcots disease for about10 years. My problems with increased after a MSRA infection. I had a leg amputated
due to MSRA. The Charccot's in my good leg is now stable.
There is daily pain, but it is something you learn to live with.
I have specially built shoes which help a great deal.

Spirit, so sorry about the leg. Mine hasn't escalated to the point of amputation yet. We have something very special in common. Thanks for the response and hang tough!!!!! Jeff

No, I don't know any diabetics who have it. But I do know of a person on my peripheral neuropathy board with it, I believe for quite a few years.
