since becoming type 2 in sept have been experimenting on myself to find out what does and does not work.
1.make the lifestyle change and deal with it.
2.stick with it,stop making excuses
3.knowing just what raises and lowers BS
4.avoid though's thing that do,and stop crying about it.
5.cut back on the amount of food you eat, learn portion control
6.exersize there is no excuse,i know para-plejic people out there that exersize more than most of the general public
7.live life don't let this bump in the road slow you down
8.help others to accomplish this feat
9.remember it's your choice to be who and what you are
10.have a wonderful new year with lower BS

when i first started exersizing it was slow to get all my ligaments and tendons ready for what i was going to do to them
now that they have been forwarned it's punishment time for being so lazy these last 20-25 yrs
when i go to the gym finally getting in there 4-5 times/wk i run on the stair master doing 90 floors in 15 min. my personal best is 125 floors in 15 min. then it's 100-200 sit-ups then weight training for 45-60 min with no more than 1 min rest between each set
knocking down 45 lbs. since sept. and BS from 470 to 90-100 now without meds
this is what i do it's hard but it's worth every bit not having to be tied to meds and testing

Well number 6 fits me to a "T". I am working on not making excuses. I have my diabetes under control with just diet and medication, but I just need to get motivated to get moving. I think I will go for a walk further than the mailbox. Ta!

Best wishes

How VERY Positive!! :-) I only wish I could be like you…whats your secret to staying so positive when things can get a person so negative? Im gonna write down your list and post it some where.

So true, then reality and moods hit!! Maybe you are one of the lucky ones who can make a plan and stick to it! I admire you for that! As for myself, I do have my ups and downs, but that is what makes me Patricia Ann! Thanks

Easier said than done for a lot of us out their. But I do those things and feel better doing them. The key for most people is take baby steps, don't over do it all at one time.
