My right knee is hurting and gives out from under me at times. I think it is about time for me to face the surgery I know it needs. I have been putting it off while my left knee has been healing and getting stronger. Oh, I do not want to do this.

I have an appt 1/8 I think with a different doc. than the one that did my left knee. This doc is right here in the town I live in. I like that too. Unlike my other surgeon, this one does knees that fit the person and rotateing ones. Maybe less pain. I will ask her.

Hmm, that is interesting Turtle! I had never heard of such—mine are part plastic and metal, they bend OK, not sure of what you mean——if I am careful I can kneel on my knees, not recommended, on my bed to get to the other side to dust, or such, not so well in my garden—-they start getting sore pretty quickly—-guess it is the harder parts inside, just pushing on my hide.

I was afraid that I would have to give up gardening, but have found that I can just drag a light-weight plastic chair around and bend over, works for me.

Best ofLuck and glad that you will have a different Dr, maybe that will help the after-care!! So hope so!! Pat R

Turtle, I know facing any surgery is hard. I will be praying for you. Its a hard choice. I hope you find the right surgeon. That
can make all the difference. Wishing you a happy and
healthy New Year.

I will pray that you find the right Dr, and that it all works out well for you.

My mom had her 2nd knee done in August (i believe) and she is doing well. She had the good fortune of going to the right Dr who was very experienced. Ask around to different people in your area who have had it done and how it went with them. Ask who they would recommend. Ask nurses who they think is good {and also who to AVOID]. That's how my mom found the Dr who did her knee, through the recommendation of a nurse [in another Dr's office].

Good Fortune to you Robbin!

I really don't blame you, Turtle! BUT, is it more painful the way it is, or after surgery it at least has the possiblity of improving. If you don't have it done, you will never know! True, both of my knee replacements went well, so pray that yours will too!! Hugs, Pat R

Thanks Pat. I am just so afraid of going thru another knee and year to heal.

Of course you are! I think James is right, get the RIGHT DR, I happened to luck out with mine, has not always been the case, and of course, you are fearful!! I would be too——Sometimes it is hard to change sources of pain, you get used to being able to handle one source, but doing something MIGHT make it unbearable—-Oh, Robbin, it is such a tricky question, We all wish you the very best!

I love YOUR pic better than your precious puppy, Sunny, too. I am going to change my pic out again too, sick of looking at those sores! yuckk—— PR
