Hello everyone,
I'm new here, would like to have some friends and get to know some people here. I'm type 1 diabetic, and have been for the last 15 years.

Thanks everyone for the replies. a little bit about myself…I'm 30 yrs old, diagnosed when I was 14 yrs old. I'm a huge sports fan, and grew up playing baseball most of my life, and I'm also athletic. I'm from St. Louis, Mo. and I try to stay in great health.

I also plan on becoming a book author, I have several books with a publisher right now waiting to get published.

Very interesting. How do you decide on a publishing company? Will you use an online company and pay for your books to be published?

yes, I am using an online company and paying for my books to be published. Gotta start somewhere, and I'm willing to take the risk. There could be great rewards that come out of it.

Thanks! I have written a book, almost finished, about my type1 diabetes history and some autobiography, with lots of pictures. I have spoken on the phone with a rep from authorhouse.com. Which online company are you using?

I am the old grandpa of the site. I have been Type 1 since 1945. I was 6 when diagnosed and now I am 70 years old. Still going strong.

Tell us more about yourself. You will find this to be a very friendly group. Ask all the questions you want!

Welcome Kehi7,
T2 here for 25+ yrs. Been here for several months and learn something new every day. Just ask and someone will have some advice or personal experience they can share with you. Just remember, sort it, filter it, use your intuition, and then above all if you are still not sure, check with your doctorr. No one will purpousely lead you astray here. Happy New year.

Welcome Kehi7! I've not been a member of this site very long myself but have been a member of the Type 1 community for almost 40 years! (I'm ONLY 46). I'm in pretty good shape for someone starting out with no such thing as home blood glucose testing or disposible syringes! (Yup, still have one of my original glass syringes.) There is no such thing as a stupid question and probably nothing that someone here won't be able to help you with, even if it is only in our own "humble" opinions.
