I am new to the site and don't know if this has been discussed, I would love see any tips and hints as to what to do about this. My reading can be as high as 148, as though I just ate a meal. I go to bed late, midnight and rise about 6 or 7.

Yes like Harlen says, we need to know how you test your bloodsugar. I test fasting first thing in the mornings, and before bedtime.

Yes I do test before bed by about an hour or so, I take metformin at that time, to help keep the am reading low, usually that is on average in the 120's but can be as high as 148, but not that high often, i have another dose of metformin in the am and glipizide before supper, i usually test am and pm and sometimes in between depending on what I am doing. My worst time for snacking is at night but my night reading can be as low as 96 due to the glipizide and a sensible supper.
I hope this helps answer any questions, I'm interested to know what others do to help with this or not to worry, The DE I was seeing was no help and I need to look for another.
Thank you
